My girlfriend came to visit me last weekend. I was sitting in bed at our apartment and she walked through my bedroom door. It is strange to say this, but at first I didn't recognize her. I thought, "Who is this girl?" Only moments before we had spoken on the phone. I hadn't seen her since I left Utah at the end of April. Some time ago she had told me that when you're away from someone for awhile you forget their face. Even photographs bear only some resemblance. I was so surprised to see her again. I was overjoyed. We both had smiles on our faces the rest of the night.
While she was in town we visited the Desert Museum, the Reid Park Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. They were all interesting destinations.
