This morning Borge Andersen, proprietor of Borge Andersen Photo•Digital, a professional photography lab in Salt Lake City, was kind enough to give me a brief tour of their operations. Originally from Denmark, Borge Andersen opened Borge B. Andersen and Associates in 1968. At that time no one in Salt Lake was doing the quality of photographic work Borge wanted, so he decided to go into business for himself.
Over the years the business, now called Borge Andersen Photo•Digital, has become a leader in Salt Lake photographic and digital services. Today Borge Andersen Photo•Digital is capable of handling the growing demands of both traditional and digital imaging with a full service custom color lab, photographic studio, and digital imaging service center. From my experience their work has always been exceptional and their staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Having the opportunity to see the operation behind the scenes was interesting and I enjoyed the tour although it was very brief. Borge is a friendly person but not much of a tour guide. He didn't have much to say other than to point out a few things here and there. But despite the shortcomings it was a nice enough tour and I appreciate Borge's willingness to show me around.
