By order from the Soviet government, Russian artist Efim Deshalyt built a scale-model of Moscow in 1976. The size of the model exceeds 400 sqft and is remarkably detailed. It is the largest model of Moscow ever created. The model has working outdoor and indoor lighting which changes according to the time of day. Thousands of little lamps are used in every window of each house, even boats upon the rivers have lights on board. The scale model is currently housed in a Moscow museum and is being offered for sale at an asking price of US $3 million.
